Working To Heal Your Relationship With Food Together

Meet the Dietitian

Hi! I'm Kristen and I am a Health At Every Size® (HAES) informed, anti-diet dietitian, who works to help people heal their relationship with food. I completed my B.S in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. During this time I fell in love with the treatment of eating disorders and Intuitive Eating.  After graduation, I went on to complete my dietetic internship at Simmons University in Boston, MA. Since becoming a dietitian I have been able to continue to learn through mentorship and supervision with some amazing eating disorder professionals. I have worked in a variety of eating disorder treatment settings giving me a wide range of expertise and experience.

Trying to change the way our bodies look through food can be detrimental to our physical and mental health, which is why I believe in the philosophy that all foods fit. Our society is so heavily embedded in diet culture, making it hard to escape from the dieting mindset that has been pushed on us for decades. So lets get rid of "food morals" and start enjoying life again.

Eating Disorder Recovery

Have you been diagnosed with an eating disorder or think you have anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, orthorexia, or ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder)? Does thinking about food and your body take up most of your headspace? Do you use exercise as compensation for "eating too much"?

Every eating disorder is different and there is a very fine line between disordered eating and an eating disorder. At Kind Nutrition Mind we will work to heal your broken relationship with food and build a foundation of evidenced based nutrition knowledge and practices based on individual needs.

Intuitive Eating

Do you think you should be on a diet but know deep down that diets don’t work? Do you categorize food as “good” or “bad”? Do you want to break free from food rules?

Our society is deeply embedded in “diet culture” making it hard for us to navigate nourishing our bodies. Intuitive eating is made up of ten principles to bring us back to the way we were born to eat. We will work through the 10 Principles together and establish a way of eating that honors your hunger cues, and provides nourishment and enjoyment.

"In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.
